The Tuckers Arms dates from the 12th Century, and is reputed to be over 800 years old. A classic country inglenook pub with a thatched roof in the depths of a small idyllic village. The Tuckers Arms is rumoured to be the oldest building in the village of Dalwood. The name Tucker means to be a tailor. Some one who was known for being a cloth fuller, cleaning and thickening cloth by pounding it in the river just 100 yards from the pubs, Hence the name ‘The Tuckers Arms’.

Howard and Liz have over 30 years experience working in the hospitality trade. From working in high end restaurants, owning their own catering business, catering weddings and parties, and running many pubs. The Tuckers Arms uses fresh local produce within a 30mile radius to create good classic country pub food with a modern twist.
